Washington World Fellows
In 2017, the Washington State Leadership Board partnered with the Office of the Lt. Governor to launch the Washington World Fellows program.
The Washington World Fellowship is a 2.5-year global leadership program that seeks to cultivate global leadership and future success in young Washingtonians by providing access to unique academic, travel, and leadership opportunities.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, Washington World Fellows students and alumni earned over $650,000 in grants and scholarships!

Compassion Scholars
Compassion Scholars is a program that focuses on creating life-changing travel experiences to inspire and inform community leaders young and old. The program began in November of 2019, featuring a 5-day tour of Dharamsala, India that culminated in a publicly broadcasted interview with the Dalai Lama. Six students were sponsored to take part on the trip based on “compassion projects” they designed.

Boundless Washington
Boundless Washington is a statewide program that integrates fun, challenging outdoor activities with leadership development training for young people with disabilities in Washington state. The program, launched in the spring of 2020, was established by the Washington State Leadership Board through a partnership with the Office of the Lt. Governor, Outdoors For All, and No Barriers.

Team S.A.M
Team S.A.M (Sports. And. Mentoring) is a sports mentoring program administered by the Washington State Leadership Board, designed to enable eligible nonprofit community-based organizations to provide opportunities through grant-based funding for underserved youth to join local sports teams or otherwise participate in the area of sports.
